Adventure Racing is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and its coming to Flagler County on October 16. The Princess Place Preserve will be the home of the LighterKnot Adventure Race which is being put together by Pangea Adventure Racing.
There are two difference races that teams can participate in.
- Sport Adventure Race: The 3 hour Sport Adventure Race is perfect for those new to the sport. Canoes, canoe paddle, and life vests will be provided for all teams. Teams must bring their own paddling equipment.
- Race Distance:
- General Distances:
- Bike: 10-20 kilometers
- Trek: 3-6 kilometers
- Boat: 3-6 kilometers
- Elite Adventure Race: For those more familiar with the sport, the Elite Adventure Race is an 8 hour race that requires more strategy, skill and physical endurance. Canoes, canoe paddles, and life vests will be provided for all teams. Teams may use personal paddles and life vests. More details will be provided at the pre race meeting
